Tasks & timeline
How do I plan my day with TimeBits?
Add tasks and give them a date to organize them in your Timeline. Today and Tomorrow sections help you see what needs attention now and what is coming next.
If you enable calendar access, your events appear alongside tasks, so you can plan around your appointments.
What is Needs Planning?
Needs Planning keeps tasks that do not have a date together. Capture a task now, then add a date when you are ready to place it in your daily timeline.
What does the Overdue summary show?
Overdue highlights unfinished tasks whose due dates have passed. Open the summary to review them and decide what to tackle next.
How do I complete or delete a task?
Open the task and use the available task actions to mark it as completed or delete it. You can revisit finished items in Completed Tasks.
Groups & routines
How can I organize tasks into groups?
Use task groups for different areas of your life, such as Work, Home, Personal, Travel, or Health. You can also create groups that fit your own routines and responsibilities.
How do I show tasks in their group colors?
Open Settings in TimeBits and enable Color Tasks by Group. Group colors help you recognize different kinds of tasks at a glance.
You can turn this option off in the same place.
How do I manage recurring tasks?
Open Recurring Tasks to view and manage repeating tasks. Set a daily, weekly, monthly, or custom schedule for regular work, chores, and other routines.
Calendar
Why are my calendar events not visible?
- Open Settings in TimeBits and check that Show Calendar Events is enabled.
- Open your iPhone’s Settings app and check that TimeBits has permission to access your calendar.
- Return to TimeBits and check the date you are viewing in Timeline.
Can I use TimeBits without calendar access?
Yes. Calendar access is optional. You can create tasks, organize groups, manage routines, and use your daily timeline without connecting your calendar.
How do I hide events or change calendar access?
To hide events in your timeline, turn off Show Calendar Events in TimeBits Settings.
To change the app’s permission to access your calendar, use your iPhone’s Settings app. Calendar events are used only to display your schedule inside TimeBits.
Reminders
How do I set a daily planning reminder?
In TimeBits Settings, enable Daily Planning Reminder and choose your Planning Time. This reminder prompts you to review your tasks and calendar events each day.
What is the Due Tasks Reminder?
The Due Tasks Reminder gives you a nudge if you still have unfinished tasks due today. Enable it in TimeBits Settings and choose your Due Tasks Time.
The planning and due-task reminders have separate times. You can enable either one, both, or neither.
Why am I not receiving reminders?
- In TimeBits Settings, check that the reminder you want is enabled and that its time is set correctly.
- Check that notifications are allowed for TimeBits in your iPhone’s Settings app.
- For the Due Tasks Reminder, remember that it applies when you have unfinished tasks due that day.
Still having trouble? Contact support and include which reminder is affected.
Can I turn reminders off?
Yes. Notifications are optional. Turn off either reminder in TimeBits Settings, or change TimeBits notification permissions in your iPhone’s Settings app.
